<br />
Hello everyone! I have been MIA for a while due to my work schedule. I was able to get a chance to finally craft something up. July is coming next month and I have never done a 4th of July wreath. So I decided to make one. I looked to Pinterest for inspiration and came across one like this one. It was being sold on Etsy but it was too expensive for me at the moment. So I made my own wreath. I didn't want to copy the exact one that was being sold. I wanted to change it just a bit. I added the American Flag and the bow is a different color. The American flag means so much to me because 1.) I am a proud American, 2.) My husband was in the military, and 3.) I was a proud military wife. Even though he is no longer in the military I honor every soldier that put their lives in danger to keep our country safe as well as those that lost their lives in battle. They are all my Hero's and I respect what they do for our country. I was actually able to put my wreath up for Memorial Day to honor those who lost their lives in battle. My husband really liked it and told me I should put it up so I did. It will go back on on July to honor all those soldiers who have served and are currently serving. Everything I used was bought at Hobby Lobby except for the starry burlap and the flag. Here how my wreath turned out.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid30CkZZRkaAFUrCff3xNttR6zJMh_OxONxVJun_T4UQB-pYFvDGvuddBwNo1s8rhWFjoK5tkVlcubV86PnKXACASFnHwaE_l3ytifPl8F1SAwA2m-CdFqlxrkqSP9JHoXTOZN4rbqqdUr/s1600/IMG_3055edited2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="496" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid30CkZZRkaAFUrCff3xNttR6zJMh_OxONxVJun_T4UQB-pYFvDGvuddBwNo1s8rhWFjoK5tkVlcubV86PnKXACASFnHwaE_l3ytifPl8F1SAwA2m-CdFqlxrkqSP9JHoXTOZN4rbqqdUr/s640/IMG_3055edited2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I didn't think the USA letters were going to hold well but they did pretty good. I hot glued the letters together and then glued it to the wreath.<br />

It is Spring! And what do I love the most about Spring? The beautiful flowers that bloom around this time. I needed a Spring wreath for my front door but I wasn't sure how I wanted to make it. All I knew was that I wanted pretty pink flowers and burlap. I always make burlap wreaths because I simply love burlap. I searched Pinterest for ideas and inspiration. Here is what I came up with!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmrCO-C7nmbba0bo_jR9g3wLBjJhAga3CzDsfI2vB07Jr7m8red3XxfLtQm_JajVk59CIKUoBgXtRiWrdaSR4HUunLhi32_WVgtEYWSK3LqXp-G37j4Ad0HrI96dNU_tqcynoIC5NIiBr7/s1600/IMG_2935edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmrCO-C7nmbba0bo_jR9g3wLBjJhAga3CzDsfI2vB07Jr7m8red3XxfLtQm_JajVk59CIKUoBgXtRiWrdaSR4HUunLhi32_WVgtEYWSK3LqXp-G37j4Ad0HrI96dNU_tqcynoIC5NIiBr7/s1600/IMG_2935edited.jpg" height="425" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /><br />
I am very pleased with this wreath and will keep it up until its time for Fall decor. I really love the little jewels I wrapped around it. It is actually a garland that I bought from Michaels. I love sparkly things so it goes well with my personality. This wreath turned out to be quite pricey but it was worth it for me. Everything was bought from Michaels. Unfortunately I don't have a tutorial for this. I'm sorry! Just thought I would show you all what I created for my Spring wreath! Happy Spring to you all!<br />

Hello! Today's post is going to be about part 2 of my DIY decorative pillows part 2. I have always wanted gold polk a dot pillows. My first thought was to use regular white material but I thought burlap would be much better. I went looking for them at stores but couldn't find any at the time. So I decided to make my own and I'm sure it would be so much cheaper if I made them myself. Little did I know it would be time consuming! I am still happy with how they turned out. Now that Spring is here I happened to find burlap pillows with gold polk a dots! But they were $20 each and I needed 2 of them. Making my own, I spent less than half the price. I would say $7. I am pretty pleased with how they turned out even though it was so time consuming.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiy4uVjxsX9y-dE4XDUIfl0chLieCc3FfIEkB4S0brP_d-nXFs2S54Fbd0yrns9xdaT2xLPf-zSOOMAdwok8tGpz8hNJ76N4aohymo78L9qYSa1aLaVDddtURGtJWNvttvkc8R6INplEbr/s1600/IMG_2462edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiy4uVjxsX9y-dE4XDUIfl0chLieCc3FfIEkB4S0brP_d-nXFs2S54Fbd0yrns9xdaT2xLPf-zSOOMAdwok8tGpz8hNJ76N4aohymo78L9qYSa1aLaVDddtURGtJWNvttvkc8R6INplEbr/s1600/IMG_2462edited.jpg" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Here are the materials I used to make these pillows<br />
<br />
18x18 burlap pillowcases (you can buy ones already made at Hobby Lobby)<br />
Pen<br />
Penny<br />
Gold glitter<br />
Gold acrylic paint<br />
Mod Podge<br />
Card board to put inside the pillow cases so the Mod podge wont seep through the other side<br />
<br />
With a penny coin trace around it with a pen to make the polk a dots. Keep making them about 1/2 inch apart until the entire pillowcase is covered in polk a dots.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsF3Ttvyy9HqzhThjckg00loG0pDT4H53FQVIvP9dMxFgCklyIcD6IR5LDCJgn1TtdUA9YPfjSXh6Y80AF-fMjJPKZRWyFX7x_osGHjdAk68hQPlZkMIV6BCroydV4uR2mFVKPwgsaNdGX/s1600/IMG_2423.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsF3Ttvyy9HqzhThjckg00loG0pDT4H53FQVIvP9dMxFgCklyIcD6IR5LDCJgn1TtdUA9YPfjSXh6Y80AF-fMjJPKZRWyFX7x_osGHjdAk68hQPlZkMIV6BCroydV4uR2mFVKPwgsaNdGX/s1600/IMG_2423.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Now you can either "paint" each circle with ModPodge and glitter them or you could do what I did, paint each circle with gold acrylic paint. Make sure you place a card board inside the pillowcase<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0Zfi_14bran1hSmyUCh9AzGgM9Xzf3wO7RsbX5aydcrdyedCOnb1MOsvJZ0JNx2oZQxq_9qbP1qMeGmjTRMTscNAYhbEOVfe2f8u9ilnLpXTXjIkZ3kKH0CUAcIdsCilLFlJe7udAuucZ/s1600/IMG_2407.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0Zfi_14bran1hSmyUCh9AzGgM9Xzf3wO7RsbX5aydcrdyedCOnb1MOsvJZ0JNx2oZQxq_9qbP1qMeGmjTRMTscNAYhbEOVfe2f8u9ilnLpXTXjIkZ3kKH0CUAcIdsCilLFlJe7udAuucZ/s1600/IMG_2407.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is why it was so time consuming for me. After I finished painting each circle and letting them dry I went over them with ModPodge and then placed glitter on all the circles.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUWEc-59pUnJLGCuakEmMi4y_SPVBSBA6OCmoQeMJD-7xAQQv1DI5lbaEjKN9XsUzdAPi6MnIhBydeSsW73WSH9ozL20JU7YSu2Cx-dpFnyT4IBDJiB1wPP1GeUCkeN9jM0VAh2xFvSsqk/s1600/IMG_2409.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUWEc-59pUnJLGCuakEmMi4y_SPVBSBA6OCmoQeMJD-7xAQQv1DI5lbaEjKN9XsUzdAPi6MnIhBydeSsW73WSH9ozL20JU7YSu2Cx-dpFnyT4IBDJiB1wPP1GeUCkeN9jM0VAh2xFvSsqk/s1600/IMG_2409.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The reason I did it this way was because using just modgepodge and glitter, you could see the pen marks a little. Being the pick person that I am, I did not like that. So I painted first with gold paint, modpodged each circle and added the glitter. Once you are done shake off all the glitter into a sheet of paper and clean up. I let that dry about 30 minutes and then added modpodge to each circle again to seal in the glitter and prevent fall out. Let dry for an hour.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3icXzN7cRuyzwXRiocbiWtwIJBT-mxMm8aTc_RrDqOpxubazLfV83Tz9Hb5YWVavDuKregHBqlHu4rPI-dq9ghQdQ2mDckd9MT6VG7kUldWd_2JWXy7ne_z-hpa9Q0xlw0_TCuw7YZ5ab/s1600/IMG_2421.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3icXzN7cRuyzwXRiocbiWtwIJBT-mxMm8aTc_RrDqOpxubazLfV83Tz9Hb5YWVavDuKregHBqlHu4rPI-dq9ghQdQ2mDckd9MT6VG7kUldWd_2JWXy7ne_z-hpa9Q0xlw0_TCuw7YZ5ab/s1600/IMG_2421.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Do this to all the pillows you made. Making two was tiresome but as I said earlier it was well worth it and cheaper. Your product is now finished. Hope you enjoyed!<br />

Hello all! Lately I have been redecorating my living room changing everything from golds and reds to golds, whites, and blacks. I have been looking for certain kinds of decorative pillows but they are either too expensive or they didn't have what I was looking for. So, being the crafty girl that I am, I decided to make my own pillows! I made burlap pillows with gold polk a dots and black pillow with a gold heart. One of the pillows I bought already made and it cost $22. I needed a total of 3 so that would have cost $66. Not what I wanted to spend. I will talk about how I made the polk a dot pillows in part 2. This post is about the black with gold heart pillow. Here is what the decorative pillows I made look like.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo9x3ZrwsmvPvMw5IiOumhiylbJbztrjrePSg-tLR_Fz1FVqXscqmCUQapzN4g7xEEJ-AQ4R45lgBnbGhJOUwJDMVK8OzLjKB52sMo7OdZ_78l6t2rBRtCi10ADKad1h-K0dlME9FxA0hz/s1600/IMG_2913edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo9x3ZrwsmvPvMw5IiOumhiylbJbztrjrePSg-tLR_Fz1FVqXscqmCUQapzN4g7xEEJ-AQ4R45lgBnbGhJOUwJDMVK8OzLjKB52sMo7OdZ_78l6t2rBRtCi10ADKad1h-K0dlME9FxA0hz/s1600/IMG_2913edited.jpg" height="425" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Making this Gold heart pillow was very easy to make and less time consuming. I don't have a tutorial on how I made these pillows but there are many tutorials on how to make a pillow on Pinterest. I used a sewing machine to make mine. These pillows are 18x18. I bought 1/4 yards of black material to make this pillow. Here is how I made the gold heart. You will need<br />
<br />
Gold material (I bought mine at hobby lobby where all the felt material is)<br />
Heart stencil (You can find all kinds of printable heart stencils online)<br />
Marker<br />
Scissors<br />
Hot glue gun/fabric glue<br />
Pillow stuffing<br />
<br />
Cut out your heart stencil with scissors<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgig9KSNXc_9euh0rjILy-WevO0sAUYKyvgosu68mo0mI16dpM-XGNyZSriQEvi-eKGgioVKmwDnO3k5Il21dQPUttRCVXMaXqEEScXK-VkTFH3htyb6qmZfUhyphenhyphenmINDE3NHm0a4iD5iwiNf/s1600/IMG_2904.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgig9KSNXc_9euh0rjILy-WevO0sAUYKyvgosu68mo0mI16dpM-XGNyZSriQEvi-eKGgioVKmwDnO3k5Il21dQPUttRCVXMaXqEEScXK-VkTFH3htyb6qmZfUhyphenhyphenmINDE3NHm0a4iD5iwiNf/s1600/IMG_2904.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Now that you have your heart stencil cut out flip the gold material over where the white part of the material is. Place your heart stencil on it and trace it with the marker. Then cut the heart out.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFe8kz6uYwlE_AT5eUiGsiEm5ni29pssvyutg6KqbmTHquZWzde2OyRJnHx3JV16ToToQntJbAguzGGhLznsvrqqpMgacU7F88NNHOmrhiIT9cDgC0GnFmI4Uoqhx-tPlcUbhfZpgn5DAl/s1600/IMG_2905.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFe8kz6uYwlE_AT5eUiGsiEm5ni29pssvyutg6KqbmTHquZWzde2OyRJnHx3JV16ToToQntJbAguzGGhLznsvrqqpMgacU7F88NNHOmrhiIT9cDgC0GnFmI4Uoqhx-tPlcUbhfZpgn5DAl/s1600/IMG_2905.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
Place the gold heart on top of your already made pillow case to see if you like the placement of the heart.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNkLFHVasFavb7tiXQYhRZVUVCVA7fBkvyrsqZ_4oI3giqTfL2JZi6dEt8Ci_3FknPEnDTPJ4I7mvGSYVmW5lqbO1w9krMcRGCc28kqgaMJssv4PxPcbDdPoLyFH-qC7mvLaJ2CG7Agulx/s1600/IMG_2906.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNkLFHVasFavb7tiXQYhRZVUVCVA7fBkvyrsqZ_4oI3giqTfL2JZi6dEt8Ci_3FknPEnDTPJ4I7mvGSYVmW5lqbO1w9krMcRGCc28kqgaMJssv4PxPcbDdPoLyFH-qC7mvLaJ2CG7Agulx/s1600/IMG_2906.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
Now turn over the heart to the white part and put hot glue all around the heart quickly and turn it back around to glue it on the pillow case. If the some of the hot glue has already dried and isn't sticking add more glue in there until there are no gaps. Make sure all the edges are glued well to the fabric. Now you can stuff your pillow case with pillow stuffing and sew, hot glue, or seal the opening with fabric glue. Let dry for a while if using fabric glue. Fabric glue can be tricky to work with when closing the opening of the pillow case. What I suggest is using books to put pressure on the side you just glued. Now your pillow is ready to place on your couch or bed. Hope you like this post. In the next post I will show you how I made the polk a dot ones!<br />

Hello! Well I must say I am pretty upset that I was not able to post any of my Christmas Crafts because my laptop broke down. It just doesn't want to turn on! So I am using my husbands old laptop which is not that great but hey its something! At first I couldn't use it because there was a virus and all these pop ups kept coming up making it hard to browse the internet. But I am back now and able to post. So on with this votive candle holder! I made two different ones. One was for me and the other one was a mason jar that had all these Christmas gifts inside for my sister in law. She can also use it as a candle holder.<br />

<span id="goog_468955577"></span><span id="goog_468955578">So how did I make these? These were rather easy to make! There is a lot of tutorials out there on how to get this frosty look. I will show you how I did mine anyways so lets get started!</span><br />
<br />
Materials needed<br />
Clean Jars of your choice<br />
Glitter of any color you like (I used pink, gold, and white glitter)<br />
ModPodge<br />
Paint Brush/Sponge brush<br />
Bowl<br />
<br />
First you grab any jars you might have laying around or you can buy mason jars at your local craft store.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiDbeHo9qL9DwJGhjPPdmFAe0h9ANyGcJDvJcwNUzpkdbuXRjyC1v-kOXgAkB2Y2ZMPRj4GQyoV7ARsux6PgV6HFzQQRIsNTNe4HpnxZajEX714RQRSF7lAocaXjxuihRPvCBdJVKXqeYw/s1600/IMG_2642.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiDbeHo9qL9DwJGhjPPdmFAe0h9ANyGcJDvJcwNUzpkdbuXRjyC1v-kOXgAkB2Y2ZMPRj4GQyoV7ARsux6PgV6HFzQQRIsNTNe4HpnxZajEX714RQRSF7lAocaXjxuihRPvCBdJVKXqeYw/s1600/IMG_2642.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Now you will mix all the glitters you chose in a bowl. I used Gold, Pink, and White. Mix the glitters well. When you mix your glitters put as much as you want. Play with them. That is what I did until I was satisfied with how the mixture of glitters looked together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmFJR_d5OnqGPtYZRA9nosBBZprGvsG4Kaq_lUm_4loFOcvRUc3sBpaNgmJABqLUuHiLu9SQDEo4CAqAQnVRDn914QdP52tLgrDXMMF3KKGHESEfY4XWSObYjdd7yrfxoVtZGhVRviQ6Uo/s1600/IMG_2643.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmFJR_d5OnqGPtYZRA9nosBBZprGvsG4Kaq_lUm_4loFOcvRUc3sBpaNgmJABqLUuHiLu9SQDEo4CAqAQnVRDn914QdP52tLgrDXMMF3KKGHESEfY4XWSObYjdd7yrfxoVtZGhVRviQ6Uo/s1600/IMG_2643.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
Pour some ModPodge into the bowl and mix with the glitter. I did not measure how much to mix in the glitter. I wanted the mixture to look frosty so I started off by pouring ModPodge little by little in the bowl and mixed until I got a thick pasty consistency. I hope the next picture shows the consistency I got. There should be a lot more in the bowl but I had already covered my jars in the mixture. I realized I forgot to take a picture and did so before I finished.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjps-IFFEoaf_nTeGb3VhVA-O3FhrOA36Jrmh2cgmA11AaEtu0TTKQcSv6xtWXLUmFurizDIsoK5OHbtab5_VpYPZURtbZlmEY5mxPM3T6yapo9GctPrF-IM50zgTQDpvU-_nPqQQ3Y9f7W/s1600/IMG_2645.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjps-IFFEoaf_nTeGb3VhVA-O3FhrOA36Jrmh2cgmA11AaEtu0TTKQcSv6xtWXLUmFurizDIsoK5OHbtab5_VpYPZURtbZlmEY5mxPM3T6yapo9GctPrF-IM50zgTQDpvU-_nPqQQ3Y9f7W/s1600/IMG_2645.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
It is time to cover the outside of your jars with the mixture. Spread in a patting motion all around the jar, For the mason jar I used one layer and for the little candle holder I used two layers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7pCt_soDDD0AIkArLYbQIUwhK-WK5COAoSmtcqdw2ldKfRikG0xIu4LTBN3IZB150Fwe9eW2N9lq2LAohRheumU6FJ4fY0VgbE9B-47k4G1l8D7GhW2t7UppnnmRJ1JY3VLOVpTIonWDX/s1600/IMG_2646.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7pCt_soDDD0AIkArLYbQIUwhK-WK5COAoSmtcqdw2ldKfRikG0xIu4LTBN3IZB150Fwe9eW2N9lq2LAohRheumU6FJ4fY0VgbE9B-47k4G1l8D7GhW2t7UppnnmRJ1JY3VLOVpTIonWDX/s1600/IMG_2646.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Allow to dry for a full day. Once it is dry you will notice the jars are not white anymore. That's how you know they are dry. OR you can tough them to see if they are dry too. Now you are finished! Aren't they pretty?!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAM5THJewWo6w4ilOsMHaskG1M_iSLuN6Kzdch-H1EUrjocVtv7qzKTn2ZCR07otbVA1V0-nZGJKXMEaXKJeFN5hF_EZAjqB98ln-YRIBndS0PwUZ6ignIcgiM0mNQAohm0aSiGh6PkCJk/s1600/IMG_2660edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAM5THJewWo6w4ilOsMHaskG1M_iSLuN6Kzdch-H1EUrjocVtv7qzKTn2ZCR07otbVA1V0-nZGJKXMEaXKJeFN5hF_EZAjqB98ln-YRIBndS0PwUZ6ignIcgiM0mNQAohm0aSiGh6PkCJk/s1600/IMG_2660edited.jpg" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
They look so pretty lit up! You can put any small candle to illuminate the jars. I just love how they turned out!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

That is it for today. I will post my Christmas owl pillows soon I hope. Even though Christmas is already over I will still post them. Oh and these glittery frosty votives can be given as gifts for any occasion! Until next time!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hello all! In this post I do have a tutorial! This is a reindeer wall art that I saw on Anneorshine's Youtube channel. I just love how hers turned out! Mine came out decent lol. I am still pretty pleased with the turn out. I wanted to add a red poinsettia to my reindeer like Anneorshine, but 1. I didn't want to copy her too much and 2. A red poinsettia wouldn't have gone with my blue, silver, and gold Christmas theme in my living room. My husband thought it would be best to just put a white one on it. I had a burlap poinsettia on it as well but my husband didn't like how it looked. He thought it was too much and it hid the reindeers ear. So I kept it with a simple white poinsettia. What do you think? Also, I would like to add that this photo had to be taken outside. I wish I could have taken one inside with all my Christmas décor but the lighting in my living room is terrible! There is basically no light in my living room. That's how this apartment is set up. I have a basic lamp but the photos were not coming out right so I had to take picture outside. You will see in a minute what I mean. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvRKCR-DlkWd4owYFYhE5pF39BZcJshKUjsc7H2FLov_wNg1i_-qoYPdvN4qkgq8bIn_9qgXIpWdiyVNE2abQRo25nHx8o6lY0gVfRU67Q2RFo6nZkFrNAC5rigt-FjxEdoCLVIYi8X7_x/s1600/IMG_2634edited.jpg" height="640" width="494" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here I added the blue poinsettia to see a different way to make it</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anneorshine's tutorial is on this link. <a href="http://youtu.be/oFbxYVVvL0U" target="_blank">http://youtu.be/oFbxYVVvL0U</a></div>
This is what I did.<br />
I used a 20X16 canvas. I first used painters tape and taped it on my canvas like so. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIyuWjIFBoSKLiMyVkYV8IJMr8W33zeL3M0vaAsAIaEyV0zVLghdMwjV9OEAXKkTnMGchB-lWFYzhyphenhyphenKPiazKSufe_4nLttZh8GDHGf2tGjgsC5l8un0ewXtAxQhErfVJOLdSysaOpOP1Uz/s1600/IMG_2587.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIyuWjIFBoSKLiMyVkYV8IJMr8W33zeL3M0vaAsAIaEyV0zVLghdMwjV9OEAXKkTnMGchB-lWFYzhyphenhyphenKPiazKSufe_4nLttZh8GDHGf2tGjgsC5l8un0ewXtAxQhErfVJOLdSysaOpOP1Uz/s1600/IMG_2587.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I began to paint the white parts with gold acrylic paint. This took several coats. I used a sponge brush and for some reason it just wasn't sticking to the canvas.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid5BX7qN0GowP-qoO-PG3i74JTK5XJRxjeMi6UWqYDiD3X_8j-_UAN9HOqBqQ-qTe1EtubQtp0jW_en1AadUymkfBjW-u0UhtGUKbRPMQLvpKfGT6T5ZQ3AdDKOgDZBHeyx2ltiYbZtgTO/s1600/IMG_2588.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid5BX7qN0GowP-qoO-PG3i74JTK5XJRxjeMi6UWqYDiD3X_8j-_UAN9HOqBqQ-qTe1EtubQtp0jW_en1AadUymkfBjW-u0UhtGUKbRPMQLvpKfGT6T5ZQ3AdDKOgDZBHeyx2ltiYbZtgTO/s1600/IMG_2588.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
I used my fingers instead and got it to be somewhat opaque. I quickly added the gold glitter.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2mgBUtE7Yf5FrETzlbuKhz5bT2oUUFLbUGG9_IdhGrIrFxduYC8ADOSSUTCqeBYFMcYcUHdmOusLtDMuOOzMLFjKif4OnLkZhFq-UL5S3ho8iuZsawk23OPjGVQXaBNSu_7IlK7cFd81t/s1600/IMG_2590.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2mgBUtE7Yf5FrETzlbuKhz5bT2oUUFLbUGG9_IdhGrIrFxduYC8ADOSSUTCqeBYFMcYcUHdmOusLtDMuOOzMLFjKif4OnLkZhFq-UL5S3ho8iuZsawk23OPjGVQXaBNSu_7IlK7cFd81t/s1600/IMG_2590.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
When I shook off all the glitter I noticed the glitter wasn't sticking very well so I decided to use my trusted method. ModPodge! Note: Do not do this on your carpet like I did! lol I had to move outside in the patio when using the glitter. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipFzVaZBimJullboSOPz3gT3Idg_CbM2A1rkCJ6PiLNJPCrgcUzSb9-DBy5BnFZIpN5H0ZwjXpa76MsKx7YX7lUgu9z5eaSH7IprIhdVBrlnk4-3xn9tNuJfhkAdw_5Ye2tV5tWKTLYF2X/s1600/IMG_2592.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipFzVaZBimJullboSOPz3gT3Idg_CbM2A1rkCJ6PiLNJPCrgcUzSb9-DBy5BnFZIpN5H0ZwjXpa76MsKx7YX7lUgu9z5eaSH7IprIhdVBrlnk4-3xn9tNuJfhkAdw_5Ye2tV5tWKTLYF2X/s1600/IMG_2592.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
What I did here is I put one coat of ModPodge on the glitter that was already on the canvas. I let that dry for a little and then added more glitter to make it opaque. Then I added another layer of ModgePodge over that and let it dry for a few hours to seal in the glitter. Then I gently removed the painters tape. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEix7s07KPeXopmprdXtCv5T0F6Uu_SNPH8aVUO2lkp_1Qck5HcJ8oeoFmfZfGBk3sAWsKFnkuNrRUJ92gW8XQ-gNRHIkOUZnJv-r1NxD93NF4xLDaJR_EzR126Qk34hYjTS8KPJz8R5j3fR/s1600/IMG_2594.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEix7s07KPeXopmprdXtCv5T0F6Uu_SNPH8aVUO2lkp_1Qck5HcJ8oeoFmfZfGBk3sAWsKFnkuNrRUJ92gW8XQ-gNRHIkOUZnJv-r1NxD93NF4xLDaJR_EzR126Qk34hYjTS8KPJz8R5j3fR/s1600/IMG_2594.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Tada!! I let this sit for a day to completely dry. It was already late that night so I decided to leave it for another day. On to the reindeer head! Now I'm not a very good drawer like Anneorshine so I found this template on google search and used this one.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4r7gVGvf6Mldtkk2wlLdfM_AdFUQS48vKOY4Ng9mlefTogFYCwko3AFRHYdSaMhyphenhyphensS5SCY5TlVkddogiWoHZCx7uSMGdJKIw25FsG42mZzZpnKSzsTA6magsyYE1-7OEH8gdgsjwJpwDG/s1600/deer+head+2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4r7gVGvf6Mldtkk2wlLdfM_AdFUQS48vKOY4Ng9mlefTogFYCwko3AFRHYdSaMhyphenhyphensS5SCY5TlVkddogiWoHZCx7uSMGdJKIw25FsG42mZzZpnKSzsTA6magsyYE1-7OEH8gdgsjwJpwDG/s1600/deer+head+2.png" height="640" width="494" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I cut traced the shape on cardboard that you can buy at Walmart and cut it out with a exacto knife. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Sorry this is so gross! I had used the top of a pizza box to do this to show you an idea but I did not use this. I forgot to take a picture of the process with the cardboard I found at Walmart so I got the pizza box my husband had on the table and redid this to show you a picture of what I did. I dont have a picture of me glittering the reindeer head but I used the ModPodge method. I first put a later of it on the head and then covered it with glitter. I let it dry for 2 hours and then put another layer of ModPodge to seal in the glitter to prevent any fallout. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I found this little cup laying around that I dont use anymore. I painted it gold and let it dry. Last I placed this in the center of my canvas and hot glued it down. Last I hot glued the reindeer head on it and glued the white poinsettia. Sorry I did not take pictures of the entire process!! I totally forgot about it. When I craft I just get so into it that I forget to take pictures to provide a tutorial. I will try harder next time!<br />

Hello all. On this post, I don't have a tutorial on how to make this wreath. This is something I wanted to have on my kitchen wall. It took me days to figure out how I wanted this wreath to look. I found the burlap at Walmart and I had no clue as to what this wreath would look like but I just knew it would look so pretty because of the chevron. So here is what it looks like.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaU1u8YsagcwN7rSNkUPhazNi1xYlfBWtJGBpQ47ESPutUQkwSBl-9dxWrzON9s37lqXZOPZpmzBiYybfhRQ42jfOso2wXjYfZjuvLmQebHdh_HAboKOFZS6CuSXptK4Ko7TcUyQJUo-FN/s1600/IMG_2550editededitededited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaU1u8YsagcwN7rSNkUPhazNi1xYlfBWtJGBpQ47ESPutUQkwSBl-9dxWrzON9s37lqXZOPZpmzBiYybfhRQ42jfOso2wXjYfZjuvLmQebHdh_HAboKOFZS6CuSXptK4Ko7TcUyQJUo-FN/s1600/IMG_2550editededitededited.jpg" height="530" width="640" /></a></div>
I just love the outcome!! I love everything glittery so that is how I figured out how I would decorate this wreath. Crazy story...I was at Hobby Lobby for 2 hours trying to figure out what I was going to put on this wreath! I was trying to imagine in my head what it would look like if I put this or that on the wreath. It was a bit frustrating to be honest. People would stare at me cause I was in the same spot for those 2 hours.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAYfioNCVY7b1HDKT8F2ofGSu90V7NY6OZMaMx46qfDT1WSr9zEUmYmKWqyrwGYGPzHbTHR_nvX1fUzOSGEIN4oaRevd-RTQAcUvlahRUT63rf4XnutZSuqLNQlX-Vw8lhaVQwH-EKjoeU/s1600/IMG_2551edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAYfioNCVY7b1HDKT8F2ofGSu90V7NY6OZMaMx46qfDT1WSr9zEUmYmKWqyrwGYGPzHbTHR_nvX1fUzOSGEIN4oaRevd-RTQAcUvlahRUT63rf4XnutZSuqLNQlX-Vw8lhaVQwH-EKjoeU/s1600/IMG_2551edited.jpg" height="425" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Then I remembered the glittery poinsettias I used to make my Santa Owl Wreath. I was lucky to find more of those flowers. Then I find the red and gold ornament pick. I knew now this is what I wanted!<br />
Originally I had this without a bow. But I felt it wasn't complete. So the next day I bought some red burlap ribbon, made the bow, and glued it on top. Now it was complete!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF7ZtAoE447pyArbXvGj9sDfOJl8-0q0bUQIEMwOpOfUZpjXc8y6eKtXp0XMTXkrKBnU3aIl0SypOdPjnBQuKafwqrhzIODI53-4eXzMBXS7_vJni7ISddu7d9iVjHXA0sZrwWQiJYhR26/s1600/IMG_2554edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF7ZtAoE447pyArbXvGj9sDfOJl8-0q0bUQIEMwOpOfUZpjXc8y6eKtXp0XMTXkrKBnU3aIl0SypOdPjnBQuKafwqrhzIODI53-4eXzMBXS7_vJni7ISddu7d9iVjHXA0sZrwWQiJYhR26/s1600/IMG_2554edited.jpg" height="640" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I don't know if you can see the gold glitter lining on the red chevron but I just love that part so much! <br />
It looks so pretty in person. If you go to Walmart you probably saw this chevron burlap on the Christmas section. When I saw it I just knew I had to get it and make something with it. hehe. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I will have another post of something I created with this chevron burlap. Hope you all have a wondering holiday! <br />

Hello! Today I have a cute Christmas owl wreath I made. Well, actually this owl wreath was already made for the Fall. I just changed it up to make it a Christmas owl. I changed the flowers which make the eyes to poinsettias and added a Santa hat. I think it looks so cute! <br />

Hello! I'm falling behind on positing my Fall crafts so I am posting 2 posts a day before the month of November ends. I have just started working on Christmas DIYs that I can't wait to post! So I have seen many tutorials on how to glitter mason jars. I have always wanted to do one but never got around to it. I wanted to add a pretty floral arrangement in my bathroom to decorate for the Fall. I love glittery things so I decided why not glitter a mason jar with brown glitter and add some pretty flowers! Here is what my floral arrangement in my bathroom looks like.<br />
<br />

The little Fall sign I made using a 5X9 canvas but I will post about that tomorrow. <br />

Hello all! This month I have been a busy crafting bee! I wanted to make my own Fall wall art using 12X12 inch canvases. Doing these were very easy. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take pictures for a tutorial. With working full time and coming home to do my wife duties I don't get a chance to take pictures of most of my crafts for tutorials. I will try my best to put tutorials in the future. So here is the wall art I made for the Fall/Thanksgiving. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I love the scrap book paper I used to make these Fall wall art. This project involved a lot of modpodge and glitter.<br />

So what I did was buy some Fall scrapbook paper. You can find them at any craft store. I bought mine online. These are some of the materials you will need.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3vrzCX75HvUdsD0f32M230G-QxlekVY1CUVM1niJ4DT6ZkCUGrkPgQ7uKJSNB5W5BcOllZ5nj-4hIkcJKqGucEOCMxy_EggeFtYcTkvfwII7BFEef7_ItlISdyKgEshasIZzmX-2gqxZD/s1600/20140919_101946-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3vrzCX75HvUdsD0f32M230G-QxlekVY1CUVM1niJ4DT6ZkCUGrkPgQ7uKJSNB5W5BcOllZ5nj-4hIkcJKqGucEOCMxy_EggeFtYcTkvfwII7BFEef7_ItlISdyKgEshasIZzmX-2gqxZD/s1600/20140919_101946-1.jpg" height="640" width="600" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I forgot to put the glitter I used in this picture and I did not use the 5X7 canvases in the picture. Ok so the materials here are:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
4 wooded letters</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Fall stickers</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Fall scrapbook paper</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
4 12X12 canvases</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Mod Podge</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Gold glitter</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Sponge brush</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Now on to the instructions!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Fill up the sink with water. Then dip one of the scrapbook paper into the water slowly. You have to be very careful doing this because if the scrapbook paper is too thin it will rip apart. The ones I used were thicker which saved me from destroying the paper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Next place the wet scrapbook paper on top of one of the canvases and align them. Now lift the left side slowly and put some Mod Podge on the canvas. Smooth out. Do the same steps for the right side and smooth out. Put aside to dry and continue with the other canvases.. *Note: Sometimes air bubbles form so put a heavy book on top to keep it from forming air bubbles. I let mine dry overnight.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Once the canvases are completely dry spread Mod Podge all over canvas to seal and give it some shine. Let dry for a few hours. Now you can choose to either paint the sides of the canvases with paint or glue some pretty ribbon around them so the white sides wont show. This is optional. I painted mine.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Now on to the FALL letters.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
cover each letter with Mod Podge and sprinkle with gold glitter all over. I used refined glitter instead of regular glitter. Let dry completely. Once dry, cover each letter with one layer of Mod Podge. This will seal in the glitter and prevent fall out. Let dry. For one of the L wall art pieces I placed the Fall leaf stickers around. Now its time to glue the letters in the center of each canvas. One dry your wall art is now ready to be placed on your wall! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I really love how they turned out! They look perfect with the fall theme in my living room. Hope the instructions weren't too hard to follow. Until next time!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

It's been a while since I have blogged. I am terrible with managing my time. I have been working and learning a lot at my new job and married life that I have not had a chance to blog. Finally, I found the time to blog today! I have a few crafts that I made that need to be blogged. So last time I blogged, I wrote about my Burlap Owl wreath. I decided to update my wreath because I felt like it needed something. I added some glittered fall leaves that I glittered myself. I didn't get a chance to take a step by step photo for a tutorial but its rather easy. All you need is fake Fall leaves that you can purchase at any craft store, Mod Podge, and glitter. You first cover the leaves in Mod Podge and then cover with glitter. Let dry overnight and add another layer of Mod Podge. This keeps the glitter from falling out. If you want to do the back of the leaves follow the same steps. I didn't glitter the back sides since I was going to glue mine on my wreath. Here is what my Fall owl burlap wreath looks like now. I am very pleased with it now!<br />

Hello! As many people may know, I am obsessed with burlap. I LOVE burlap. So a few months back I decided I wanted to make some cute burlap canvases with pink and white lace with pink and white roses. I wasn't sure how to go about it but I knew I wanted to make roses out of material. I was browsing google on how to make roses out of material when I came across several blogs on how to make t-shirt roses. I loved how they looked so I looked up youtube on how to make them. I got an old shirt of the college I went to and cut up strips to make these roses. I didn't have a pink shirt so I decided to dye some of those strips. I had some red food coloring that I had bought to make candles. I poured several drops in water and then just dipped the strips for an hour. I had to play it by ear because I did not know what I was doing here. lol I was afraid they were going to be too pink and I wanted a light pink. I was able to get the perfect light pink color through experimenting. I made sure I squeezed all the water out and just hung them with clothespins. I put a towel under the strips in case they dripped any water. I let them dry overnight. In the meantime I made the white roses and hot glued white and pink pearls in the center of them. I also decorated the burlap canvases with lace and ribbon. For the pearl flowers I just hot glued pearls into the shape of a flower and then put tiny string beads on each open corner. These were a pain in the butt to do. It takes a lot of patience to do because they will keep falling apart. I'm a jobless military wife who has lots of time in her hands so I have room for patience. lol Its been hard trying to find a job. It took me several tries to get them right. Once the pink strips were dry I proceeded to make the roses. It took me a few days just to figure out how I wanted to place these roses on the canvases but in the end I was very pleased with the turnout. I love how they look in my desk! Here is what they look like!<br />

I am a bit disappointed that my pictures would not come out the way I wanted them to. The light that comes into my apartment is terrible. I wasn't able to capture the actual colors of the canvases. I used the flash too and I just wasn't happy with how they were coming out. So I took them with my Ipad. lol It was the only thing that capture the true colors of my canvases. Here are more close ups of my creations<br />

So I came a cross this blog <a href="http://www.makinghomebase.com/valentines-day-wreath/" target="_blank">http://www.makinghomebase.com/valentines-day-wreath/</a> and loved the wreath Chelsea made. I loved how classy and elegant it looked compared to other typical pink and red wreaths (My wreaths). My wreaths look very Valentine-ish. lol This wreath looks like you could use it all year long because it doesn't look so Valentine-ish. So I got inspired to do one like hers. I love how the brown paper medallions and red made the twigs of the wreath pop out. As soon as I saw her post on this wreath I went straight to Joanns Fabrics to get the materials. I was so excited to start this wreath! I didn't want to copy my wreath exactly like hers. I wanted to change things up a little. So in her wreath she has doilies with the words XO on them and the paper bag medallions have glittery red hearts in the center. She also has a cute burlap garland in the middle with glittery red hearts. I love that part. To hang her wreath she has a red ribbon in the center holding the wreath. The only thing I copied were the doilies and the paper bag medallions. I didn't have any paper bags with me. I have not seen one in years! So I bought scrap book paper that looked like the paper bag material. So here is what my wreath looks like!<br />

I glued glittery hearts to the centers of the doilies. Then for the brown paper bag medallions I put a red glittery G in the center (G for my last name) and a red heart jewel in the center of the other paper medallion. By the way those paper medallions were so hard to make! I had never done them. I looked up youtube videos and I didn't have the proper Martha Stewart tools to make them all pretty. All I used was a ruler. It took me several tries to get it right. I almost pulled my hair out because I was so frustrated that they weren't turning out. But I am a very determined person so I wasn't going to give up until they turned out decent enough.</div>

In the center of the wreath I glued a red bow that I made out of wired ribbon and glued a rhinestone in the center of it. I love bows. I think they are so cute on wreaths! I wanted to put the burlap garland with the little red hearts like Chelsea's wreath but the strings of the bow would have covered it. :/</div>

<br />
And that's it! I am just so pleased with this wreath that I am going to have it up all year long. The colors go with the theme of my living room. Thank you Chelsea for making this beautiful wreath! You inspired me to make my own and I am happy I came across your blog. :) Time for bed. The husband is waiting for me to hop in bed. Night!<br />

<br />
Its been a while since I have blogged. It has been hard for me to keep up with my blog. I am not an experienced blogger and I don't know how often people post on their blog but I will keep trying to make the effort. I do enjoy blogging and showing off my crafts. :) So on with my Valentines Day décor. A few weeks ago I posted my clothespin Valentines Day Wreath and some of my décor. I was not happy with it so I redid it. The picture above is what I did! Everything in this picture I got from the dollar store except for the two small frames. They were at Michaels for $1 each. I think I bought them last year. <br />
<br />
Let me explain how I made my Valentines frames. They are very easy to do.<br />
<br />
For the little picture frames I kept the paper that was inside the squared one and just put a glittery heart shape foam in the center. For the oval picture frame I printed out the words love, cute it in the shape of the picture frame and placed it in. I wanted to perfect cubed love letters but I could not find one I really liked. The one I used was perfect BUT it had some black words at the very bottom. I made the mistake by putting white out on the words and now it doesn't look that great. No matter. I am not picky. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUhtuXEWTfOp9hcLS1XAj4tLf4h2vN8_szwPpyaNfvxqSaprLNLlWAuRX0mc_LI7VkBICBwO3Jjmtv4CNfl52ddYqreaE3EXFizIwf0PppViTqfycqIBHQPriCyesGOmVaQraJSyAXI4Gf/s1600/IMG_0672-3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUhtuXEWTfOp9hcLS1XAj4tLf4h2vN8_szwPpyaNfvxqSaprLNLlWAuRX0mc_LI7VkBICBwO3Jjmtv4CNfl52ddYqreaE3EXFizIwf0PppViTqfycqIBHQPriCyesGOmVaQraJSyAXI4Gf/s1600/IMG_0672-3.jpg" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I just love how this little frame turned out. So simple and cute!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div align="center">
Here is what I meant about the white out. It looks so pretty with the words love but that white out killed it. lol I am thinking of just reprinting it and leaving the small black letters that were there. </div>

For the white and red heart frame I bought a frame from the dollar tree and some heart doilies. The red heart in the middle I bought a package at Target for $1. The red cardstock I bought at Joanns Fabrics for 60 some cents I think. The frame was brown so I painted it with white acrylic paint. Then I cut the red card stock to the size of the frame. Last I glued the white heart shaped doily in the center and then the red heart in the center of the doily. Now you are ready to place it in the frame. Tada! Easy right?<br />
<br />
Ok on to the doily and heart vases!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht_Y9PrshrJ_UaeArM7DNT6bO9CaFOW2BfNtfbFZ_oyuzStb073JAM3jPpBZWREPXbV_rBD-p-YB9LDehlC933j0hynGi-GyW6mBXeAoK96MeA95SM6o1Fkgd4Cd2xbDJEuSKNk43i5siv/s1600/IMG_0673-3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht_Y9PrshrJ_UaeArM7DNT6bO9CaFOW2BfNtfbFZ_oyuzStb073JAM3jPpBZWREPXbV_rBD-p-YB9LDehlC933j0hynGi-GyW6mBXeAoK96MeA95SM6o1Fkgd4Cd2xbDJEuSKNk43i5siv/s1600/IMG_0673-3.jpg" height="640" width="426" /></a></div>
For these cute heart doily vases all I did was cut out red hearts from the card stock I had left over. Then I glued them in the center of the doilies and glued that to the vases. By the way the vases I had from a while back but I bought them at dollar tree! The roses I also bought from dollar tree. <br />

So that is my Valentines Day décor! I am pretty pleased with it. :) Above this décor I have my Valentines Day clothespin Wreath and the garlands as well. Tomorrow I will have a new post up on a wreath I made inspired from another blogger. I just love this wreath! Stay tuned! Time to get some sleep.<br />

For some reason I thought I had posted about the Valentines Clothespin Wreath I made but I guess I didn't. Well here it is now. I usually make burlap wreaths for every holiday. I just love burlap but for Valentines I wanted to do something different. I found the idea of the clothespin wreath on December when someone made a Christmas wreath out of clothespins. I thought the idea was great so I decided to make one of my own. I am pretty pleased with the outcome! Here is what it looks like!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZsHqJpqLNKECOkGqm_VCx9_QFnnfVLElreNOLju0ehAjO2CR4eluuy9wk1pYGfDHqG6TiSjKHHGTAfs7XV1w7YRnVuD0fycUXIICGi3SXVBMg6X-4eA5b2QcPUcwOxnUqbiDq0jZcIGpA/s1600/valentineswreath.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZsHqJpqLNKECOkGqm_VCx9_QFnnfVLElreNOLju0ehAjO2CR4eluuy9wk1pYGfDHqG6TiSjKHHGTAfs7XV1w7YRnVuD0fycUXIICGi3SXVBMg6X-4eA5b2QcPUcwOxnUqbiDq0jZcIGpA/s1600/valentineswreath.jpg" height="640" width="574" /></a></div>
<span id="goog_354076074"></span><span id="goog_354076075"></span><br />
It is rather easy to make. All you need is <br />
<br />
wire wreath form. (Mine is a 12 inch)<br />
Clothespins( I bought 2 packs at the dollar store.) <br />
Heart Jewels (bought at Joanns Fabrics)<br />
Foam hearts (Bought at Joanns Fabrics)<br />
Red ribbon<br />
Pink Acrylic Paint or spray paint<br />
An Owl frame (Optional...I bought mine at Target for $1)<br />
<br />
<br />
I did this the hard way and I sort of regretted it. I hand painted each clothespin in pink chiffon. That took forever! I suggest spray painting. One they were dried I placed the clothespins (54 of them) around the wire wreath form. I put the clothespins on the last two inner wires of the wreath form. Then I just hot glued the foam hearts and the jewel hearts on the wreath. The Owl frame is actually being held by the clothespins. Lastly, I cut off a piece of ribbon and wrapped it on the top of the wire form and hot glued the ends. Next I make a bow and hot glued it to the ribbons and glued a heart jewel in the middle. Easy right?! Hope you like it and find it easy to make!<br />
<br />
<br />

Today I finished doing my heart garland made out of felt. Yesterday I made a burlap garland to go with my Valentines Day décor for my little office area in my apartment. I went all out on the pink, red, and white colors. lol Pink is my favorite color. It seems like a lot but its the only place my husband will allow me to put Valentines décor. Lol. He thinks its too girly girly to have around the apartment. So here are the garlands I made. <br />

Tutorial on the clothespin wreath will be posted tomorrow as it is late and I am tired. So on to the tutorial for the burlap garland! Sorry I did not take pictures for each step.<br />

All you will need is <br />
Burlap<br />
Red yarn<br />
Red sharpie<br />
Hot Glue gun<br />
<br />
1.) Start by cutting 6 triangles. If you want to make perfect triangles just make a stencil out of paper by making a triangle with a ruler. Cut that triangle and then pin it on the burlap and begin cutting.<br />
<br />
2.) Color in some hearts in the middle of the triangles with the red sharpie. If you want to make perfect hears like me use a stencil. I'm a perfectionist. I used a precut foam heart, traced it on the burlap, and colored it in.<br />
<br />
3.) Now glue the triangles on a long string of red yarn. I did not measure mine. I just played it by ear. What I did was I got a ball of yarn and spread the end of the string on the floor before cutting it off the ball. I then placed every triangle about 1 inch apart from each other. Make sure you leave 1 inch of yarn at each end of the garland as well. Once I had them placed, I turned them around to the other side, meaning, the back of the triangles were facing me, and then started hot gluing the red yarn on the very top of the triangles. <br />
<br />
4.) Now you are ready to cut the yarn from the ball and put it on your wall!<br />
<br />
<u>FOR THE HEART GARLAND TUTORIAL</u><br />
For the heart garland you will need<br />
<br />
Packages of heart shaped felts that you can buy at Micheals or Joanns Fabrics. I bought mine at Joanns. The brand is called Craft Essentials. I bought 3 different packages of hearts. I also hand made some of my own felt hearts. Here are some pictures of the ones I bought. The very tiny hearts you see in the middle of the hearts I found them at Target for $1. They are stickers so I sticked them in the middle.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2aAp1Ni41iOiYJ1eYWrrY42yRR5qVy_BpEK9RdFms6xOTUHBDTyIxDkCfdECyxUyhplvz0uS9Yt-owdwBz-JvJvHQ01jgV7ikvOPvOAt6CT1gWl21DgBrADkvGzjjS2S2aq4QGXuU-Fbv/s1600/scalloped+hearts.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2aAp1Ni41iOiYJ1eYWrrY42yRR5qVy_BpEK9RdFms6xOTUHBDTyIxDkCfdECyxUyhplvz0uS9Yt-owdwBz-JvJvHQ01jgV7ikvOPvOAt6CT1gWl21DgBrADkvGzjjS2S2aq4QGXuU-Fbv/s320/scalloped+hearts.jpg" width="282" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQzfYTB6kYgLQNoeF17n0P2gs5WaZHF256V982dbi-Jve3uvFbTpxYQgncMZp366ZlTMiZ6-VknSeVoDnji32kYAjeDQnH_Hq0JZmeFjVTdoLgY4sIDmRmFie6KNzRvCYlvLsv-HgTfG3j/s1600/scalloped+hearts+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQzfYTB6kYgLQNoeF17n0P2gs5WaZHF256V982dbi-Jve3uvFbTpxYQgncMZp366ZlTMiZ6-VknSeVoDnji32kYAjeDQnH_Hq0JZmeFjVTdoLgY4sIDmRmFie6KNzRvCYlvLsv-HgTfG3j/s320/scalloped+hearts+2.jpg" width="282" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
If you want to make your own heart felts then you can do so. All you are going to need is felt of any color of your choice and heart stencils if you want to make them perfect like I do. <br />
<br />
1.) I started off by tracing a big heart that came in the packages I bought to the felt. Then I cut it out.<br />
2.) I found a small heart from the packages and traced that to a different colored felt. I cut that as well.<br />
3.) I glued the small heart in the middle of the big heart with hot glue gun. <br />
4.) I sticked the heart shaped felts I found at Target in the middle of the little heart.<br />
5.)Using the same process I used in the burlap garland, I hot glued each heart 1 inch apart to a red string of yarn.<br />
6.) Now place the garland on your wall!<br />
<br />
You can mix and match the hearts to whatever colors you want to use. It all depends on your imagination!<br />
<br />
I really enjoyed making these garlands as it was my first time making them. ^_^<br />

I went to Joanns Fabrics the other day and came across these cute bird houses that were on sale. They were $1.25 if I remember correctly. I could be wrong. I saw two that had hearts on them and I thought those would look cute as Valentines Day décor. So I bought two of them and also bought red and pink acrylic paints. I love glitter so I decided why not lets buy glitter! I bought pink and red extra find glitter. I got to painting as soon as I got home! At the same time I was working on my clay pot Valentines gumball candy dispenser. I used about 3 coats of paint for each bird house. Then I let them dry out for about an hour. Next with a brush I brushed the bird houses roof tops and bottom parts with Mod Podge Matte and sprinkled the extra fine glitter on them. Here is what they look like!<br />

Here is where I used my little Valentines Bird houses. I have a little office and I decided to decorate a small part of my office for Valentines. I know its early but I got to start getting ready for St. Patricks Day crafts in February. I am trying to do things one month ahead so I wont be behind on my blogs. I have been crafting like crazy for Valentines Day. You can see the heart shaped boxes I made from my previous blog post! lol I also made the clothespin wreath. The garlands I also made. I will be posting tutorials on how to make them on my blog soon!<br />

I did these cute Valentines heart shaped boxes today. It doesn't necessarily have to be a candy box. You can use it for many things. You can put chocolate covered strawberries inside, homemade soaps, or jewelry. All you need is:<br />
<br />
1 or 2 cardboard heart shaped boxes. (I got mine at Joann's)<br />
Fine Red Glitter<br />
Fine Pink Glitter<br />
Mod Podge<br />
Paint Brushes<br />
Red Acrylic Paint (optional)<br />
Light Pink Acrylic Paint (optional)<br />
Cutout Foam Hearts<br />
Glue Gun<br />

<br />
To make these boxes just keep on reading!<br />
<br />
First, I painted the boxes with acrylic paint. This is optional. I painted them because I didn't want any of the brown from the cardboard showing. I painted one box red and the other a light pink. Allow to dry<br />
<br />

Next with another brush, apply mod podge to the entire box. Then add the glitter. Allow to dry!</div>

This can also be done with children under the supervision of an adult since a hot glue gun is being used. Hope this was easy to follow!</div>

Hi! I came across this idea through pinterest. I thought it was perfect to have in my kitchen for Valentines. I have never decorated in February and decided I wanted to this year. I had a lot of fun making these cute gumball dispensers! They were very easy to make. All you need is<br />
<br />
Clay pots and the little plates that come with them<br />
Glass candle holder<br />
Acrylic paints<br />
Wooden balls<br />
Ribbon (optional)<br />
Heart Stencil<br />
Hot glue gun<br />
<br />
Here is what they look like. Instead of gum balls I used M&Ms and Hershey's kisses.<br />

<br />
Now, I bet you are wondering why I am doing Valentines crafts this early? Because when the month of February comes, everything is pretty much gone and its hard to find supplies. Right now Joann's has just started putting out the Valentines stuff so I took advantage of it. <br />
<br />
So how did I make these cute candy dispensers? Here is how!<br />
<br />
I began by painting the pots and the plates. One I painted red and the other light pink. I used about 3 coats. <br />
<br />
Once they were dry I used some heart stencils I had laying around that I bought from by Martha Stewart. Then I proceeded to putting the dots on the bottom rim of the pot and the top. Let dry.<br />
<br />
Next I painted the wooden balls and allowed to dry. Last, I glued the balls on top of the plates with the hot glue gun and then glued the glass candle holder to the clay pot. That is it! <br />
<br />
If you want to put ribbon around the neck of the candy dispenser you like I did then go ahead! As far as candy, you can put any candy you like. Anytime you want candy, just lift up the lid and grab some! Hope you enjoy making these candy dispensers as much as I did!<br />

Well, its been a while since I have blogged. I suck at keeping up with my blog. I was however working the holidays and Vera Bradley. I love her brand so I got a job there to earn money for presents to give to my husband. I would come home way too tired to blog or anything. I wanted to share the Christmas décor I have around my home. I love decorating for the holidays! Here are some of the décor I had around our little apartment.<br />

I came across this site that sells pinecone angel ornaments. <a href="http://www.mawickecreations.com/pinecone.html" target="_blank">http://www.mawickecreations.com/pinecone.html</a><br />
I did not want to pay $12 dollars for each pinecone angel ornament because the amount I wanted was going to cost me a lot of money. I searched google hoping that maybe someone would have a tutorial. There was this one girl who did but all she had was words. I wanted pictures so I decided I wanted to make them myself. I still had pinecones left over and ribbon left over from making the pinecone ornaments. All I needed was to buy the heads and moss. Again I like to save money so I got moss from trees for the hair. I was very pleased with how my pinecone angel ornaments turned out! Here is what they look like<br />

Weeks ago, I came up with an idea to make my Christmas tree prettier than last year. I want to use natural ornaments beside the typical ornaments. There is this page I follow on facebook called Confessions of Crafty Witches and they have some great ideas that they find throughout the internet. There was this one post about making star ornaments out of cinnamon sticks! I had to do them myself and I just love them! I thought about how my Christmas tree would look with these but then I thought, something is missing.... Hmmm...Then the thought of making pinecone ornaments came into my mind. I did not know how to even make them but I had an idea in my mind. I looked through countless google pictures and none had any tutorials on how to make them.<br />
<br />
Either way I was going to find a way to make these pinecone ornaments the way I wanted them. I went to several different stores to look for pinecones such as Michaels, Joanns, and Walmart. They all had the cinnamon smell which would have been great, but I am one of those that likes to save. I wanted free pinecones. I can be cheap sometimes haha. I made my husband go with me to several places that had pine trees and we found hundreds of them! <br />
<br />
We had fun picking pinecones together. We got home and washed them. I did I know that pinecones close up with water. I was so upset that I made him go with me to find more the next day. We had fun again though lol. I learned pinecones will open again when they are out in the sun. I did some research online about them. Since I can be impatient I left the first ones we got outside and just brushed off all the dirt from the recent ones we found. Then I started decorating them with ribbons, berries, green leaves, felt poinsettias, and fake pine tree twigs I got from a garland at the dollar store. I just cut little pieces off the garland for the pines cones. Here is what some of them look like!<br />
<br />

<br />
Now for a tutorial!<br />
<br />
You will need:<br />
Pinecones<br />
Ribbon (different sizes)<br />
Berries<br />
Any greens you want to put on your pinecones<br />
Felt if you want to make poinsettias<br />
Pearls for the poinsettia<br />
Bells<br />
Or tiny ornaments<br />
Glue Gun<br />
Scissors<br />
Wire Cutters<br />
<br />
You can make these ornaments however you want to. Its up to you on how you want them. Be creative! Give it your own touch!<br />
<br />
Step 1: Clean your pinecones of any dirt, pine needles, sap, etc. If you want to wash them with soap you can do so but you will have to put them outside in the sun for them to reopen. A friend told me you can blow dry them to open them again. I tried that but they did not open back to their original shape. <br />
<br />
Step 2: Gather all your materials<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe-rEmcqJReaQyNM9pa_kZ_N7e8CHDaNvQeQSsow6SDyCgOkBgTaCawdfV6_nf-uPg8vVTze0EGGcYjaEG7-Fg3mqqn7l3yyz5vUC4x5rVCPxbJFsvMLNA_PLFMSTKOhjDC2X4d3nzXzO_/s1600/pineconemaking.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="224" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe-rEmcqJReaQyNM9pa_kZ_N7e8CHDaNvQeQSsow6SDyCgOkBgTaCawdfV6_nf-uPg8vVTze0EGGcYjaEG7-Fg3mqqn7l3yyz5vUC4x5rVCPxbJFsvMLNA_PLFMSTKOhjDC2X4d3nzXzO_/s400/pineconemaking.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Step 3: Cut a piece of red ribbon (I used a skinny ribbon) however size you want it to be to hang the pinecone. I cut an 2 1/2. Next make a loop and glue the ends with the glue gun. Then glue that end to the top of the pine cone<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqxxs3ryuWgFA9CW49iHAEPZ8hj1YhzlJQk1rb_qibGVCDYAUDCBESQdkYy-qTFXDos_WbKl9Ns5-wUo4p-Y14vMWP0CBK5nTR4C_iM-hYpv6QJ9Cs1VTq4NQGbeIh1xQotCX5GsN9pbjE/s1600/pineconeornament.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqxxs3ryuWgFA9CW49iHAEPZ8hj1YhzlJQk1rb_qibGVCDYAUDCBESQdkYy-qTFXDos_WbKl9Ns5-wUo4p-Y14vMWP0CBK5nTR4C_iM-hYpv6QJ9Cs1VTq4NQGbeIh1xQotCX5GsN9pbjE/s400/pineconeornament.jpg" width="225" /></a></div>
<br />
Step 4: <br />
If using Garland: With the wire cutters cut a piece of the garland or any greens that look similar to the twigs of a pine tree or Christmas tree into small pieces. I didn't really measure how long. I just put the end of the garland on the pinecone and cut a piece that was the size I wanted. With the glue gun, glue it to the top of the pine cone. What I did make the piece into a circle and then glued it. <br />
<br />
If using ribbon to make a bow: With a wider ribbon than the one you used for the hanger, cut 7 pieces of ribbon. I cut 1 1/4. Again make a loop and glue the ends. Now glue them on the top of the pine cone in the form of a flower.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdT-6Y88-a_QvYEQFLpOzH0TDdvEVPXms2x0iRDg5AlCtsYFkqAqd5FjNMNtjf2-N_nxUBRpFozQnaY_ccnIg9gakiIBmIdi5K43VJdXKnEqVnKSgtv25mO_81zrB4SQkyyd9JBl3IDCnJ/s1600/ribbon.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdT-6Y88-a_QvYEQFLpOzH0TDdvEVPXms2x0iRDg5AlCtsYFkqAqd5FjNMNtjf2-N_nxUBRpFozQnaY_ccnIg9gakiIBmIdi5K43VJdXKnEqVnKSgtv25mO_81zrB4SQkyyd9JBl3IDCnJ/s400/ribbon.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ5K0aXcuJpkDFLPsLnoUpJJkMYbc67Q4NO9sPzDSscLo7oo_HO-CGLYymcIf-jQ2Mceuq1LSiz2MF8bb143jtH-Yik7x1c1e0dnfeB29uTWkhMDOxi3lV8ldnYYciEuyzsuY_Ca0GohJe/s1600/unnamed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ5K0aXcuJpkDFLPsLnoUpJJkMYbc67Q4NO9sPzDSscLo7oo_HO-CGLYymcIf-jQ2Mceuq1LSiz2MF8bb143jtH-Yik7x1c1e0dnfeB29uTWkhMDOxi3lV8ldnYYciEuyzsuY_Ca0GohJe/s400/unnamed.jpg" width="225" /></a></div>
Step 5: Here is where you get creative. You can add a piece of the garland on top of the ribbon, add berries, glittery green leaves, bells, felt poinsettias, etc. Michaels had a lot of decorative things on sale. The glittery green leaves I used were from Michaels as well as the as the berries. Each were 50 cents. For the felt poinsettias I looked up a printable stencil online, resized them to my liking, cut them and used them as a guide to cut the felt. <br />
<br />
I hope this was easy to follow. This is my first time doing tutorials and I am not that great in giving instructions. I get many people asking me how I make my crafts and want tutorials. <br />
<br />
Oh! and here is what my cinnamon stars look like!<br />

I recently started making ornaments for our Christmas tree. This year I wanted to have a Christmas tree with pinecone ornaments, cinnamon stars, and snow ornaments. I also wanted the colors to be strictly red, green, and white. So I came across some ideas of making ornaments with snow. There were a few that caught my eye. They had red berries inside. I decided to make some of my own with my own touch. These ornaments have the snow and red berries just like the ones I saw but mine have some glittery leaves inside them and the snow has some sparkles as well. I just love how they came out. I added a little red bow to make them look cutesy. Here is what they look like.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuAN_YmKyBG9P67hsiHBjAZ1t0Zh-g2tOuKM9HaknUukIIh4XJlNeXN7SOdGnCuaOXGQq_A2tLF-5ll3t_o8TDxg3BXV9WtLKQ5iR803lA6tnZbG40pf5OKw5SJcCgmvBAnA5B5ejwrdPf/s1600/snow-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuAN_YmKyBG9P67hsiHBjAZ1t0Zh-g2tOuKM9HaknUukIIh4XJlNeXN7SOdGnCuaOXGQq_A2tLF-5ll3t_o8TDxg3BXV9WtLKQ5iR803lA6tnZbG40pf5OKw5SJcCgmvBAnA5B5ejwrdPf/s640/snow-1.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOUWQ-5vJQIF8LLX-OkxkM4crSrXYUqCteFjaPCplESZAKb3IUlDxeIAYOuvTVh3BhfFsRTtDXs-AI69jC3ZJMenE2sre77PtuO9JgqfgFRjtWsZdG1D-2RYI6e43l0zCNyMMy_b2Lmcai/s1600/snow45-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOUWQ-5vJQIF8LLX-OkxkM4crSrXYUqCteFjaPCplESZAKb3IUlDxeIAYOuvTVh3BhfFsRTtDXs-AI69jC3ZJMenE2sre77PtuO9JgqfgFRjtWsZdG1D-2RYI6e43l0zCNyMMy_b2Lmcai/s640/snow45-2.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
If you would like to know how to make these I have provided a tutorial on how to make them. They are pretty easy to make! Just make sure you buy berries that are able to fit in the hole of the ornament. The berries were a little to big for the holes but I was able to push them in. I used fake berries that I bought from Michaels for 99 cents. The leaves also cost 99 cents.<br />
<br />
Materials you will need are:<br />
<br />
Buffalo snow flurries<br />
Buffalo snowflakes<br />
Clear glass ornaments (any size you want)<br />
Red Berries<br />
Any greens you wish to put inside<br />
Wire cutters<br />
Ribbon<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7muqvnQfN7pOXxORxFoEyX2y9lP2K9tzi_8a6quO8wdQeM_tr49eHuAMpuWm9DmuEuKaFEuwzc4JnyVf6SXxg9JeSH9A16qOvthvFl-WxR1-Ufg2yAbhGXx295IZ175BibnjUID0qwpIY/s1600/ornament+supplies.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7muqvnQfN7pOXxORxFoEyX2y9lP2K9tzi_8a6quO8wdQeM_tr49eHuAMpuWm9DmuEuKaFEuwzc4JnyVf6SXxg9JeSH9A16qOvthvFl-WxR1-Ufg2yAbhGXx295IZ175BibnjUID0qwpIY/s640/ornament+supplies.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
I bought the snow flurries and snow flakes at Joanns. The rest is from Michaels. First remove the top from the ornament and fill with snow flurries.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyoavq4B8voLsQI7a3NJ_qjtJnGmsWnsz6nLTi-19Tk__Pz_2DpVzvQreAtNWZWlXcHcW3x1nWGaGQRJOV74saAquqcvl-rNG5thoA393Tw4gU55Awj14q9vwaPycgDdlOjyrTBIhSavR_/s1600/snow+in+ornament.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyoavq4B8voLsQI7a3NJ_qjtJnGmsWnsz6nLTi-19Tk__Pz_2DpVzvQreAtNWZWlXcHcW3x1nWGaGQRJOV74saAquqcvl-rNG5thoA393Tw4gU55Awj14q9vwaPycgDdlOjyrTBIhSavR_/s640/snow+in+ornament.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next put some snow flakes inside. This is optional. I like sparkly things so I added the snowflakes. This can get very messy so its a good idea to use a cardboard box so that any snow flurries or snowflakes can fall in there. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfuxZXCeibXODHtl-4hTNRrjmVx7p4qgzo0qDuzQYfSvd_DC71cpYq6eB1c52yh7SdaqxmVAtRPTbA4DY2PT7hove3nbbbVoAHyrTAp-8z0oZi0jU1wpi9ygGocX3kWlz2vMMGYKQd6I_1/s1600/snowflakes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfuxZXCeibXODHtl-4hTNRrjmVx7p4qgzo0qDuzQYfSvd_DC71cpYq6eB1c52yh7SdaqxmVAtRPTbA4DY2PT7hove3nbbbVoAHyrTAp-8z0oZi0jU1wpi9ygGocX3kWlz2vMMGYKQd6I_1/s640/snowflakes.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
Next put the leaves inside and 3 red berries. with a toothpick you can move the leaves and red berries wherever you want them to be. Now place the top back on the ornament.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnAzS-cbz76B7elDvKJKAXPWsweJyT3lTswiJC4eMtNdB7bPcvnm4-RzgwtwSQNMV3MImL0CQ_nY2PMnZDPmsaIYLGNJ4YGZITYii1LtR2Tkhu3ED2eJNBwB_sDWQsaYxdvHJsFPdTV063/s1600/ornament.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnAzS-cbz76B7elDvKJKAXPWsweJyT3lTswiJC4eMtNdB7bPcvnm4-RzgwtwSQNMV3MImL0CQ_nY2PMnZDPmsaIYLGNJ4YGZITYii1LtR2Tkhu3ED2eJNBwB_sDWQsaYxdvHJsFPdTV063/s640/ornament.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
Finally, you make a bow out of red ribbon or any color you want to use and glue it with a glue gun. And this is your final product!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKo05SlKfBqh552nVrzRcJjHBZwpz0zMz89_l6EMQwvFCP_KHLPKqEvu1UB3_6oxirtDo3-qmCtuTqyIHtyx6phqefPXHVaLE5xnypy_MEf9YoW6RMQiwP4e4cksFfBDijYgVpU-4zWzoc/s1600/redbow+ornament.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKo05SlKfBqh552nVrzRcJjHBZwpz0zMz89_l6EMQwvFCP_KHLPKqEvu1UB3_6oxirtDo3-qmCtuTqyIHtyx6phqefPXHVaLE5xnypy_MEf9YoW6RMQiwP4e4cksFfBDijYgVpU-4zWzoc/s640/redbow+ornament.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Do the same with the other clear glass ornaments. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCWm_Y2vWMnq1uhtgNBd1GORp51O8qHcY7cr3TL9ZcZXdk0D6nVDYfbDOB8Jiw_B2_mM7ttuaVXW8sff8Uihl7a7_76THtL09tXwQqPpFo3qVWjF4SQ8JMj04HaX0G5S0y_2BCBOJkVdYA/s1600/snow+ornaments.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCWm_Y2vWMnq1uhtgNBd1GORp51O8qHcY7cr3TL9ZcZXdk0D6nVDYfbDOB8Jiw_B2_mM7ttuaVXW8sff8Uihl7a7_76THtL09tXwQqPpFo3qVWjF4SQ8JMj04HaX0G5S0y_2BCBOJkVdYA/s640/snow+ornaments.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Now you are ready to hang your ornaments on your Christmas tree. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and thank you very much for reading my blog. Happy Holidays!<br />
<br />
Here is my Christmas tree with the ornaments. I will post a tutorial on how to decorate pinecones and hang them up as ornaments.<br />

It has been a long time since I have blogged. I got so busy with school that I quit doing my crafts and doing my nails. School got so hard that I fell into a depression. I took a break and went back only to fail out of school. I needed 3 more classes to finish the program. I was so close. It took one mean witch who thinks she's so great at her job and is so high strung about her status to fail out. She was a very unfair teacher. Hell, I'm just going to say it. She was a major bitch. Getting kicked out of the program over a D hit me pretty hard for 2 weeks. I cried my eyes out and felt like a total failure. Thanks to the support of my husband and family I was able to get passed this sadness. I think it was the best. Keiser University is a worthless place to get an education. You have no voice in this school You can't defend yourself and you get written up for others bad behaviors. I was miserable in that school so I try to see it as a positive thing. I am no longer stressed, miserable, or feel like killing myself due to the extreme stress I was in. There were times where I may have gotten into fatal accidents due to lack of sleep. Falling asleep on the road is no fun. I did crash into this one guy on the day of my final. I wasn't hurt and the guy wasn't either. Still I just needed to hold on a little longer and get to fieldwork and I could have been a COTA. But I will see this as a positive thing. I am happy now and I am calm. I am back to crafting and doing my nails. Ever since I failed out of OT school I have been crafting like crazy and decorating my home. My home was a mess when I was in school. I didn't have time to clean. Now my home is nice and clean and pretty as well. I will be posting the crafts I have been doing from now on in this blog as well as my nail art. I love doing both things so it was hard to come up with a name for my blog. So I named it the creative spot because I am a very creative person. Right now I am so happy with my fall decorations. Its not much. It's a small section of my apartment that I decided to decorate for fall and Halloween. Keep scrolling down to see the pictures. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This was for Halloween. My husband and I carved a pumpkin. It was my first time and I had so much fun. The wreath you see there I made on my own. I bought 3 different sized vases at the Dollar Store and some fall leaves. Then I put them in the vases and added water. Finally, I put floating candles. The other candle is a pumpkin spice candle that smells delicious!</div>

I currently have this decoration for November. I have the same 3 vases with water and fall leaves and the pumpkin spice candle. This time I added 2 glittery pumpkins, another pumpkin spice candle that has a pretty design on it and some fall flowers. I just love it!</div>

I also have these adorable owls. The middle one was a gift from my best friend. The other two I bought on sale at Michaels. They are all candle holders. I just love them so much. </div>

That is all I have for this month of decorations. I wish I could do more but money is tight right now. I will however be working soon so now I can decorate the house for the holidays. Till then, goodbye!<br />
